How To Make a V60
Here's a very easy way to make some awesome coffee with the stuff you've got:
What You Need:
- V60
- V60 Filter Papers or Hario Waterfall V60 Papers
- Coffee Scales
- Coffee Grinder
Ingredients:
- 15g of coffee (medium grind)
- 250ml of water
Let's Do This:
- Get all your gear and coffee ready.
- Heat up your water to around 97°C. Hot, but not boiling.
- Fold your filter paper and pop it into the V60.
- Give that paper a quick rinse with hot water to get rid of any weird flavors and warm up the V60.
- Grind up your coffee to a medium grind, kinda like caster sugar.
- Pour the coffee into the brewer and give it a little shake to make it nice and even.
- Put the V60 on the scales and hit that tare button (make it read zero).
Now, Let the Pouring Begin:
- Start your timer right when you start pouring.
- Pour 45 grams of water in a circular motion by 0:30 seconds (that's the bloom).
- At 0:30, go for round two, pouring until you hit 100 grams on the scale.
- By 1:00, go for another pour until you reach 150g.
- At 1:30, make your final pour until you hit 250g.
Chill Time:
-
Wait for all the water to drip through the coffee grounds.
-
Your coffee should be good to go in around 3:00 - 3:30 minutes.
-
Now, just kick back and enjoy that delicious brew you just made. Cheers! 🌟☕
